A Breezy Song for Summer’s End
Hey friends: Summer is almost over, so I wanted to share a light, easy song I wrote many years ago and recorded with some amazing musicians in Nashville. It’s a song about how God is able to turn ordinary lives and mundane things into something beautiful.
I’m just one of millions of singer/songwriters and never thought it possible that a song I wrote would come to life in a big studio. This happened only because God opened doors and introduced me to great people who helped me make music intended to encourage people to experience Jesus throughout life. It’s not about making a dream come true—instead, it’s about being open and available to the purpose and plan God has for each of us within His good and eternal blueprint.
Through my life and ministry I’ve seen God make beauty out of ashes, hope out of despair, and new starts out of shattered lives and dreams. It isn’t about being “religious” and doing more and more things. Instead, it’s all about experiencing Jesus firsthand and then operating through life —and someday eternity—in a vital, growing relationship with God.
In this skeptical and cynical world, God is looking for people who will turn to Him—regardless of past or present circumstances, doubts, and failures— to experience His power that can make our lives beautiful and meaningful, beyond what we even think is possible.
Jesus once turned ordinary water into exquisite wine at a wedding celebration. What was impossible for people was easily do-able for God. This is the same God who is able to take flawed and broken humans and transform us into new things of beauty. It begins by turning to God, who turns our ordinariness into something beautiful and extraordinary.
He turns our water into wine!
God bless you.
